Signs that may warrant inspection
Live insects, cast skins, eggs and small dark spotting near sleeping or resting areas can be useful clues. Bites alone do not confirm an infestation. Take clear photographs when possible and note the room and date rather than moving furniture to investigate elsewhere.
Inspection guides treatment choices
Describe bedrooms, upholstered furniture and adjoining spaces where signs have appeared. Safe Home’s bed bug reference describes heat and chemical treatment options. Suitability, availability and the proposed combination must be confirmed for your property; no single method is promised here.
Prepare using the technician’s instructions
Ask for preparation instructions before work begins. Laundry, bagging, access to furniture and handling sensitive belongings may be part of a plan. Do not apply improvised heat, move suspect belongings into other rooms or dispose of furniture without advice.
Reduce spread between rooms or units
Keep suspect items contained and tell the technician about activity in adjoining rooms. In multi-unit housing, notify the responsible property manager so access and assessment can be coordinated. Moving to a different room does not establish that the issue is contained.
Follow-up and questions to ask
Ask what is included, whether additional visits may be needed, how to record activity and when to call again. Confirm re-entry instructions and any precautions for children, pets or sensitivities. Return to Woodbridge bed bug service information or see our Vaughan property guide.
